ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan suspended mobile services across the country on Thursday just as voters went to the polls for the country's general elections, adding to the controversy swirling around the process.
The Interior Ministry said in a statement that mobile access was being restricted due to the country's deteriorating security situation. On the day before the elections, twin bombings killed about a dozen people near candidates' offices, fueling fears that voting stations could be targeted.
